Professional experience

• Formulated the Implementation plan and coordinated the execution of the Spanish Cooperation-funded Crafts Development Project along with the Ministry and Harar Regional Bureau.

• Assessed the process leading to the project “Building of a National Crafts Centre in Addis Ababa and a Regional Craft Centre in Harar” together with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

• Evaluated Spanish-funded project Fabrication Laboratory (Fab-Lab) at Addis Ababa University.

• Evaluated and followed-up proposals in the framework of the Inter-university Cooperation Programme with Spanish and Ethiopian universities and research centres.

• Accompanied the process of integration of two Spanish lecturers in the recently approved BA of Modern European Languages at Addis Ababa University,Ethiopia.

• Led the implementation of the Millennium Development Goal(MDG) Spanish Fund for “Culture and Development” in Ethiopia in collaboration with UNESCO, UNDP and the Ethiopian Government.

• Provided interpretation services at the Conference Hospital Management organized by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia together with the Foundation of Health and Social Policy Cooperation of Carlos 3rd University in Madrid, held in Addis Ababa in July 2010.

• Executed the Voice of Citizen survey along with the Ministry of Capacity Building in Ethiopia to analyse and evaluate the citizen concerns related to the public services delivered by the Government.

Organization and Strategy
2009 - 2009

• Supported the publication of the centre's Newsletter, which is reaching all the National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in the Mediterranean.

• Organised the Mediterranean Youth Camp Atlantis V “Young people moving to preserve the environment”, and facilitated workshops in Morocco, in collaboration with Moroccan Red Crescent, IFRC, Spanish and French Red Cross, UNEP, UNDP-ART GOLD.

• Co-facilitated the workshop “Sustainable Consumption” by the Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production, United Nations Environmental Programme and UNEP YouthXChange.

• Represented the Centre for the Co-operation in the Mediterranean at the meeting of Solferino to commemorate the 150 Anniversary of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement held in June 2009

• Facilitated the workshops organised by the CCM at the meeting in Solferino in the framework of the programme “Youth on the Move”. Co-facilitated the workshops on Leadership, Mediterranean youth network and Intercultural dialogue

• Organised the 5th Africa-Europe Training course for Youth Organisations “Youth participation in the Africa-EU Strategic Partnership” in collaboration with the European Youth Forum held during 1-8 June 2008 in Coimbra, Portugal.

• Participated in the organisation of the 2008 North-South Prize Ceremony which was held in the Portuguese National Assembly and was awarded to Kofi Annan and Simone Veil.

• Widened the Global Education Network country files, contacting Ministries of Education of the member countries of the Council of Europe.

• Collaborated in a joint project of UNHCR and the Council of Europe’s programme on children Building a Europe for and with Children.

• Followed-up the 28th Conference of European Ministries of Justice on Emerging issues on access to justice for vulnerable people, specially immigrants and asylum-seekers and children, including children perpetrating crimes, celebrated in October 2007 in Lanzarote, Spain.

• Undertook research on privatisation of prisons and protection of separated children.
